Tobias: how to romance them in Code Blue

Where the romance starts

Tobias is department head Tobias Hendricks, and his route exists only in season 2 — 4 steps, all in one season. Of those, 2 of 4 are free. The first one costs 64: "Don't hold back." That's the biggest single spend on the whole route, so decide early whether you're in. The remaining free steps (season 2, episodes 4 and 5) come without diamonds, and that's where you get to see the tone without paying for it.

Where diamonds decide it

The route's money is concentrated in exactly two choices: season 2, episode 1 for 64 and season 2, episode 5 ("Stay in the room with Tobias.") for 32. That's 96 diamonds for 2 paid steps. Everything else is free. So this route is either fully paid or half-skimmed — there's no middle option. If you're counting diamonds, this is the cheapest of the local set compared to Flint, Esteban, Nahome and Eugen, since there's so little to buy in the first place.

Can you do it for free?

You can go through the free steps — 2 of 4 — but Tobias's route won't close without the paid ones. The 64-diamond step comes first in the season, so plan for it before starting episode 1, not after.
