Plan the whole bill before you start: the routes are long and mostly paid
Shakespeare's Code is still coming out, but the end is set: Season 3 is the last, and its Episode 17 closes the story. In English there are 32 episodes so far, and new ones go on the update schedule. It's dark fantasy with intimate scenes, and the studio warns about descriptions of violence and physical harm. Episode titles borrow from Shakespeare, from "King Lear" to "Othello" and "Brother Hamlet".
Five love interests, almost no free steps
A route is made of romance steps, the choices that move a romance forward.
Ralph: 32 steps, 4 free, and the paid ones add up to 1,345, the priciest route. Edward: 29 steps, 5 free, 1,311. Edmund: 23 steps, 1 free, 1,093.
Two routes are shorter. Abraham starts in Season 2: 14 steps, 1 free, 643 diamonds. Hobello, the toad companion and M's gift, is the one players ask about most: 8 steps from Season 1, 1 free, 450 diamonds.
If you want one of the big three, start saving in Season 1: the free path gives you at most 5 steps out of 29.
The plot is pricey too, so lean on Rush
262 of the 605 choices are paid, and buying all of them would run to 20,403 diamonds. Season 2 is the heaviest at 8,312. The priciest episodes: "What Do the Catholics Want?" (Season 3, Episode 4, up to 1,097), "The Red Cloak" (Season 2, Episode 4, up to 964) and "Ophelia's Wrath" (Season 2, Episode 10, up to 959).
I'd pay only for my love interest's steps and play these during Diamond Rush, when paid choices are free in every story.
