Verdict: the most expensive romance in the story
Amen costs 1995 diamonds. Livius, the next one in Song of the Crimson Nile, is 1201, and Anubis is 411. Of Amen's 38 steps, only 3 are free, so this is a route you plan, not one you stumble into. It begins with "Their eyes met." for 22 in Season 1, Episode 1.
Where the diamonds go
Season 2 is the heavy one at 761 diamonds. Its peaks:
- Episode 7: "I trust you…" — 154.
- Episode 3: "I always knew that." — 100.
- Episode 10: "Please, Amen, forgive me…" — 77, next to the free "Amen, you need to eat…".
Season 3 has "Since I've decided to be honest, I must be completely sincere." for 100 in Episode 3. And Season 4, Episode 1 has two choices at 157 each: 314 diamonds in one episode.
The free steps are all in Season 2: "Can't keep lying to myself." in Episode 1, "Told Amen the necessary minimum." in Episode 9 and the Episode 10 one.
How I'd play it
I'd pay for the 22s and 30s in Season 1 as they come, about 490 for the whole season, and put every choice of 100 and above on the Diamond Rush list. That's the 154, both 100s and both 157s: 668 diamonds you don't have to buy. Keep a separate save slot for the route. Cheaper options: Ramesses at 687 or Anubis at 411.
