It's a thriller with a mystical edge, set in the present day, and it has intimate scenes. You choose the heroine's name in the first episode.
She ran from that night believing she was finally free. The first episodes waste no time proving her wrong. The past trails her, the dead turn out to be very patient, and a near-death scare on a dark road brings people back together. By Episode 4 a single photo says only one word: run. The episode titles read like a poetry syllabus, from "Annabel Lee" to "Lady Lazarus", and that tells you the mood better than any summary.
Declan is the longest route and the one players ask about most: 15 romance steps (the choices that move a romance forward), 6 of them free, and the 9 paid ones add up to 384 diamonds.
Fabian is a good deal: 13 steps, 5 of them free, 362 diamonds for the rest.
Xavier looks cheap because his route is short. Only 2 of his 7 steps are free, and the 5 paid ones cost 219 diamonds. Per step, he's the priciest guy in Waterlily.
With 300 saved up, Xavier is covered in full with 81 to spare. Fabian needs 62 more and Declan 84 more. If two of them appeal to you, give each a separate save slot and play the routes one after another. That works better than choosing on price.
66 of the 177 choices are paid, a little over a third. Buying every paid option in the season would run up to 4,873 diamonds, so Declan's whole route is about 8% of the full bill. That's the case for spending only on romance steps and letting outfits and bonus scenes go.
