Matthew: how to romance them in Where Love Burns Eternal

Verdict: the cheapest route, one paid choice

Matthew costs 33 diamonds, the lowest price in Where Love Burns Eternal. Messir is next at 47, and Matteo tops the list at 261. Two of Matthew's 3 steps are free, so the whole romance comes down to a single paid choice in Episode 11.

Every step

• Episode 4, On Miracles: "Matthew." — free. The route starts here.
• Episode 7, True Motive: "At Matthew." — free.
• Episode 11, The Secret Marriage: "I'll sit with Matthew and ask him more about himself." — 33.

How I'd play it

Pay the 33. It's the only diamond choice on his route, and it's cheaper than any single paid choice on Matteo's or Pilate's routes. If your stash is at zero, keep Episode 11 on a separate save slot for Diamond Rush and come back to it.

Episode 7 is worth a note: Matteo's last step there costs 66, and Pilate's route starts in the same episode with a 34-diamond choice, while Matthew's step is free. If you're weighing them, this is where the paths split in price. For the full list, see the Where Love Burns Eternal page or compare with Messir.
