Sheda appears in a single season, and the route opens with a paid question: "Now's my chance to ask, while it's just the two of us." in Season 1, Episode 2 for 26 diamonds. Skip it and you still get two free moments later, in Season 1, Episode 6 ("Hold my hand on every slope.") and Season 1, Episode 7 ("At Sheda."). So the intro isn't gated, only the first move is.
