Heaven's Secret 2: walkthrough and guide

Heaven's Secret 2 is a direct sequel: same heroine, same academy, familiar faces. It's fully released, three seasons and 29 episodes, with intimate scenes. If you skipped Heaven's Secret, go back. This part assumes you remember who's who.

Plague runs the board

The opening is told in the heroine's voice. She died, woke up among angels and demons, got strength and power from immortality, and now something is coming to take it all away. Plague moves the pieces, and the heroine seems destined to be her pawn. Lectures from hell are back, but it only looks like the old days. By Episode 4 Plague throws a ball where guests dance on bones and drink blood instead of wine.

Decide on Lucifer before Season 1 ends: he costs over three times more

Diamond-wise, this is a completely different story from part one.

Lucifer, the demon and love interest from part one, has 20 romance steps (the choices that move a romance forward), and only 2 of them are free. The other 18 add up to 796 diamonds. In the first Heaven's Secret his route cost 223. Same guy, more than triple the price.

Dino, an angel and Vasaria's son, has the longest and priciest route: 21 steps, 3 free, 855 diamonds.

Astaroth, a half-blood who starts out hostile to the heroine, costs far less: 10 steps, 1 free, 327 diamonds. That's well under half of Lucifer's bill for a route that runs through all three seasons.

Malbonte, the half-blood former villain, gets just 2 steps in Seasons 2 and 3. Both are paid, 129 diamonds total.

Two Horsemen of the Apocalypse have short routes too. War has 5 steps, 2 free, 111 diamonds. Hunger, from Season 2 on, has 5 steps, 1 free, 137 diamonds, and he's the one players ask about most here.

What a 300-diamond stash covers

Not a full long route anymore. Paid in episode order, 300 covers 8 of Astaroth's 9 paid steps, and less than two fifths of Lucifer's. The short routes of War, Hunger and Malbonte each fit in full. If you're set on him, start saving from the first episode and don't spend on outfits until his route is paid for.

The free path is narrow here, so plan Rush in advance

224 of the 494 choices are paid, almost half. Buying every paid option across three seasons comes to 13,713 diamonds, five times as much as the whole of part one. Free romance steps barely exist in part 2: 3 for Dino, 2 each for Lucifer and War, 1 each for Astaroth and Hunger, none for Malbonte.

Episodes to keep for Diamond Rush, when paid choices are free in every story:

• Season 3, Episode 8, "The Wedding": 22 of 33 choices paid, up to 1,674 diamonds.
• Season 2, Episode 10, "Welcome, Mother": 9 of 22, up to 1,154.
• Season 3, Episode 9, "Welcome to a Scary New World": 14 of 42, up to 1,058.

I'd play everything else as it comes and park these three until a Rush starts.
